Thank you for being a voter, and thanks for everything your union is doing to make sure your members vote. From now through 8pm November 3, please encourage voters to drop off their ballot by using one of Oregon’s official ballot drop boxes.
In Oregon we know that our elections are secure, accurate and fair, convenient for voters, and transparent thanks to the postal workers, letter carriers, union elections workers and County Clerks that are trusted local election officials who administer our elections and help voters resolve ballot questions.
We also know that states run elections, not President Trump and his administration. However, rest assured that the Oregon Labor Federation is doing everything we can to make sure Oregonians are voting, that our votes and ballot boxes are protected, and that our voices will be heard if attempts to alter elections or their results are done across the country.
Between now and the election the Secretary of State's office is asking partners to:
Keep the temperature down and avoid spreading incorrect or confusing information. Calm helps election workers do their jobs, helps voters vote, and keeps our elections running smoothly. It also helps maintain trust in Oregon's secure, fair elections.
Share this message with anyone who asks: Oregon voters can remain confident that our election will be safe, secure, and accurate.
Let your members and networks know their rights as Oregon voters and share trusted resources such as OregonVotes.gov/track and 866-OUR-VOTE.
Encourage voters to report suspicious activity to the Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683), their county elections office, or the Secretary of State's office at 503-986-1518.
Encourage voters to cast their ballots as soon as possible and track them at OregonVotes.gov/track
