STATUS: Active
After ten months of bargaining and mediation, City of Corvallis workers (Oregon AFSCME Local 2975) went on strike on Wednesday, Oct. 14. City of Corvallis Management says they don’t have the authority to give workers a fair contract, but Corvallis City Council has given them access to funds so they can hire scabs.
ACTIVE: CITY OF CORVALLIS WORKERS ARE ON STRIKE
SUPPORT WORKERS TODAY.
When we stand together to support workers on strike, we can help ensure the strike is both short and successful. When any worker is treated unfairly or without the dignity and respect they deserve at work, it’s up to all of us to fight for justice.
It's time to tell Corvallis City Council to do the right thing -- give the city's bargaining team the funding they need to settle a fair contract and end the strike!
Please take a minute to send a letter to the Corvallis City Council in support of the city workers:
Oregon workers are organizing for better wages, conditions, protections, and a landscape that works for everyone.
