Oregon Labor Federation Celebrates Re-Election of Christina Stephenson as Labor Commissioner

SALEM, Ore. — Oregon Labor Federation, AFL-CIO President Graham Trainor issued the following statement in response to Christina Stephenson’s re-election as the Oregon Commissioner of Labor and Industries:

“Commissioner Christina Stephenson is a strong advocate for workers in every sector of our state’s diverse economy. As Oregon’s labor commissioner, she has closed critical loopholes in child labor law, fought for registered apprenticeship programs, and expanded access to BOLI resources for all Oregonians.

Oregon’s unions know Commissioner Stephenson will continue to build a stronger, more just landscape where every worker is protected and every employer is educated about their responsibilities.

We’re excited to continue to work with Commissioner Stephenson and know we can count on her to stand up for workers’ rights, protect our children, expand job training, and hold bad actors in the economy accountable.”
